Emergency Food and Shelter Program Phase 38 - Coming Soon

Community Partners, We have received notice from National EFSP that the next round of funding (Phase 38) will be released very soon. Although we have not yet received our allocation amount and cannot release an RFP for Phase 38 funding, we wanted to provide advance notice that this RFP will likely be released soon and will also have a very tight deadline for community partners to respond (pursuant to National EFSP timelines). For those of you who are not familiar with EFSP, you can find additional information on the EFSP website at www.efsp.unitedway.org. While we are still waiting on the official guidance, we anticipate having approximately $1M to allocate for the following assistance programs to experienced community partners:
Rent/Mortgage Assistance
Utility Assistance
Emergency Shelter
Temporary Shelter
Food/Nutrition Assistance
Please note: this program is intended to support community partners who are currently providing these services in the community and are not intended as start-up grants for new or existing organizations to start new services. All programs funded will be required to have an active HMIS account at the time of application. And, funds requested may only be used for direct client services – EFSP does not allow for payment of any administrative expenses, including staff costs to administer the assistance programs. Once we receive approval from National EFSP to issue the RFP we will issue a legal notice in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, send email notifications to our contact lists, and post the availability of the RFP through our social media channels. If you would like to be added to our EFSP contact list to receive a direct notification of the RFP once it is available, please send an email requesting to be added to the direct email notification list to EFSP@uwsn.org.
